History: | "Means ""many waters,"" (Douglas-Lithgow 1909) and also is the name of an Indian chief. In 1926 and 1927, the MA legislature provided for the establishment of a reservoir ultimately taking this territory. It was completed in 1940 (MGB 1932 Mermel 1963)." |
