In 1834 and 1901, the USCGS referred to the feature as Scituate, Burr or Almshouse Hill and in 1934 as Scituate or Town Hill. The Town Poor Farm was once located here but later moved to Bear Hill (Board on Geographic Names (BGN) files). |
